Kenyan President Vows to Strengthen Security in Main Cities and Towns

Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of Kenya, has promised to enhance security in important towns as well as cities of Kenya. He has also vowed to boost security at all entry points to stabilize the country.

The Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, states that the unity of Kenya is an urgent requirement. He adds that poachers, thieves and terrorists pose a major threat to the lives, national heritage and property of Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta reveals that his government has started installing CCTV cameras in main cities, towns and further according to him, broadband connectivity is also being installed at border positions.

News sources reveal that incidents involving armed robberies attacking retail markets in Mombasa, Nairobi and northern Kenya have drastically increased in this year. Besides, the testimonies given by security guards and traders have made it apparent that main cities, packed streets and towns are used as principal targets.

According to a revelation by Xinhua, the President of Kenya said that the first defense of Kenya is the men and women in the disciplined services. Kenyatta reportedly spoke these words at the time of celebrations to observe Kenya`s years of self-rule which crossed 51 years by that time.

Uhuru Kenyatta also disclosed that the Kenyan government has given minimum 1,200 vehicles to the police which will be outfitted with CCTV cameras in due time.

As per revealed by Kenyatta, the initiatives taken by his government are not only limited to security. Kenyatta says that to supervise the security as well as immigration of the country, and to collect data which is much more accurate than the statistics currently available, his government is geared up to set up a national digital register in the approaching financial year.
