NSG Stops Taking Any More VVIPs under Its Security Shield
According to a latest revelation, the National Security Guard (NSG), the counter-terrorism security unit which is responsible for safeguarding the most defenseless VVIPs of our country, has chosen not to include any more VVIPs under its exclusive 'black cat' commando security shield. However, sources disclose that this decision has been taken by the NSG to ensure that the most stern and infallible security is provided to the VVIPs who are currently being safeguarded by the national security guards. These VVIPs include Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and several Chief Ministers.
Presently, NSG commandos are protecting 15 VVIPs who are given Z category security, which usually involves more than 24 armed commandos along with several gadgets and security equipments to ensure that the person is provided with the best security.
General J N Choudhury, the director of NSG, has revealed to PTI that the NSG is not able to take care of more protectees under its security cover. He also discloses that NSG safeguards the most defenseless VVIPs and as per the mandate and current strength of the NSG, it is not capable of managing anymore such responsibilities.
